Our Guiding Principles

      • Pioneer strives to work with our parents for the holistic development and positive well-being of our students.
      • We aim to engage parents as partners to nurture a growth mindset in our students, equipping them with life skills and knowledge to prepare them to be future ready.
      • We aim to balance our teachers’ workload in partnering parents with our core professional duties, particularly in teaching and learning.

2.       Parents should limit all communication with teachers within school operating hours (7.30 am to 5.30 pm) on working weekdays and during school term.

3.       Teachers are not expected to respond to parents’ and/or students’ queries after school operating hours, during weekends and on school and public holidays.

4.       For urgent matters, parents may contact the General Office if teachers are uncontactable during school hours.

5.       Teachers are not expected to provide their personal mobile numbers to parents and/or students.  Teachers are also not required to communicate via social media such as WhatsApp or Facebook.

6.       To minimise disruption to teachers’ teaching duties and avoid wait time, parents should email teachers or contact the General Office to make appointment for face-to-face meetings.

7.       Parents will receive a response to their email queries within 3 working days so that sufficient time is given to teachers to ensure queries are duly addressed.

8.       Pioneer Primary School reserves the right not to engage with any parent who is disrespectful, rude and abusive to our staff.

All Civil Servants are protected by Protection from Harassment Act (PoHA).
